Taggie

This is the email my mom got at work Thursday

Hi~
Do you happen to have a taggie in your car? Or any hints on how to ease the stress? Elliana is really upset that she doesn't have "hers". Mine aren't seeming to cut it. Thanks for your help.
Jody

I asked for mama and taggie all morning and was very sad without them. Thankfully, taggie appeared at nap time. I squeezed it tight and closed my eyes and said, "Taggie! Taggie!" I'll put a picture of it for you to see when Daddy brings the camera back home.

Helper

Let me tell you how I am a helper.

1. I put things in the trash when I'm told.

2. I take the clean forks and spoons out of the dishwasher.

3. I sometimes help put silverware on the table for supper.

4. I load and unload the dryer. 5. At daycare when the babies cry, I find their pacifiers and take them to them.

All this work wears me out that I sleep real well when it's time, especially if I have my taggie and two blankies.

Out of My Mouth

Last night my mom and dad stopped and bought ice cream at Culvers on our way home. I am stuck in the back seat and guessing they think they don't have to share with me. I desprately yelled out, "BITE!" I had to do this for almost every bite I got, and then they started making me say please. Then I sounded more desprate as I yelled out "BITE!......Please!"

This morning at breakfast mom told me that Pops and Grandma were coming. I said, "Pops." After breakfast when mom was hauling me to the sink to wash my hands our conversation went like this....

E: "Pops"
M: "Pops is coming. We like Pops, don't we?"
E: nods "Shawn"
M: "Shawn?" (sounds like Don)
E: nods vigorously "Shawn!"

See, I really like my Uncle Shawn. When we were driving up to church last night I said his name too because we see him at church a lot. I learned from him that if I just lay on the floor, someone will come tickle me.

Daddy Weekend

Dad took me on a trip with him this weekend. Instead of putting me in my crib to sleep, he just put me in my car seat and we drove to Elsie and then came back the same way the next day. I got to play with my Robertson cousins almost all day Saturday. Trey was my favorite. I gave him hugs when we left, but I did not want to give Ashley any hugs. Ashley did show me how to go potty like a big girl. Aunt Katie let me try too, and I went potty on the potty too! I got a Skittle just like Ashley. My mom was very excited to hear this.

This afternoon Daddy was playing with one of his new toys. He let me check it out with him. I had to ask him "What's this?" about 15 times because there was so many different things to figure out in this toy.

After he named all the little buttons on it for me, he let me listen to it with him. Can you see how carefully I'm listening and how excited Daddy is with his toy?
